Today, we’re sharing the last tip to help your child focus on homework. If your child has ADD/ADHD, has a lot of excess energy, or is naturally fidgety – then it’s time to remember the old saying…“If you can’t beat’em, join’em!”
Instead of trying to ‘force’ your child to sit still… give them tools and gadgets to focus that extra energy so they can concentrate. Fidget spinners. Stress balls. Clicking devices. Chewable pendants. And more. These tools can work wonders for kids who just aren’t “built” to sit still! AND these wonderful gadgets occupy the part of the brain that wanders aimlessly, keeping kids from getting their work done.
So to review: Part 1 – games are a reward, not a right. Part 2 – a dedicated, calm study space is a productive space. Part 3 – don’t fight your child’s fidgets, channel them.
